Nestled in the secluded hills of Puerto Vallarta’s private Amapas enclave, Villa Tita stands as a masterclass in blending age-old Mexican architectural traditions with the comforts of modern upscale living. Designed to honor the region’s cultural heritage, this six-bedroom villa—with four additional casitas—welcomes up to 22 guests into a world where rustic charm meets sleek sophistication.
When owners Jim Reis and Robert Bisor acquired the property, they envisioned more than just a retreat—they dreamed of crafting an immersive experience. Drawing inspiration from the graceful stucco facades and handcrafted wood beams of historic haciendas, they partnered with renowned Arquitectos Asociados del Pacífico and contractor Amador Gómez to reimagine every corner. The result is a cohesive design language: vaulted ceilings and terracotta roofs marry floor-to-ceiling glass walls that frame panoramic views of Banderas Bay.

The renovation journey spanned over a year and a half, touching every element from structural reinforcements to artisanal finishes. Guests arriving at Villa Tita are greeted by a sparkling infinity pool that appears to spill into the Pacific, a state-of-the-art fitness center discreetly tucked behind original stone walls, and custom water-filtration and climate systems that ensure comfort in every season. “We wanted to maintain authenticity while elevating the guest experience,” explains Jim. “Every handcrafted tile and bespoke fixture tells a story.”

At the heart of Villa Tita’s success is its dedicated team, led by manager Justo García. Whether it’s a private chef crafting regional ceviches and mezcal-infused cocktails, or butlers arranging bespoke excursions into Puerto Vallarta’s Romantic Zone, every detail is curated to exceed expectations. “Exceptional service is our signature,” says Robert. “From sunrise yoga on the rooftop terrace to starlit dinners by the pool, we create moments that stay with our guests long after they depart.”
Villa Tita is more than a place to stay—it is a living testament to the beauty of Mexican craftsmanship and contemporary luxury. Whether you seek a serene hideaway, a festive gathering spot, or the backdrop for an intimate wedding, this reimagined masterpiece invites you to experience Puerto Vallarta like never before.
